Board of Directors Meeting
June 15, 2002

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Minutes from May 20, 2002 meeting not available. Jackie Amato will have those available soon.

President Chris Gross introduced board members. Several were not on hand due to other commitments that evening.

2002 Updates-Janice reported that we had several enhancements done over the winter. Main drain brought up to code in the deep end, title line between shallow and deep end, white coating, a fourth filter added, new pump motor, new filter media, new PA system will be ready for 1st swim meet, and a foose ball table. A new party tent area has been introduced and seems to be working well.

Several trees have been taken down by BG&E. Firewood is up for grabs.

DRD is our ppool management company again this year. Lois Brooks, Pool Manager was introduced. Lois is from one of the original families that founded Watermont so She is very familiar with our pool. Lois introduced the guards and gave their background. The guards pictures have been posted ont he door. She stressed the importance of safety and is happy to be here at Watermont.

A Pool Patch is being introduced this year for the small children. It is a reward for being able to trad water for a minute and swim one lap length of the pool. The patch can be sewed to the bathing suit or just kept in their pool bag. This helps to identify those who qualify to be in the deep well. Guest will be ask to take the test but will not receive the patch. the suggestion that a wrist band could be used for guest.

One parent brought up the fact that she has a 4 yr. old that wears a coast guard approved safety vest and feels while shw has that on she (Mom) shouldn't have to get in with her. She was instructed by the guards that she neeed to get in the big pool with her daughter but refused to and proceeded to argue with the guard. Janice explained that wearing a life west is a perk for our pool. Will discuss further with DRD for their guidance.

Diving stick has been taken off the market. Janice is searching for the letter that came out over the winter about this.

Swim lessons have had a sign up sheet and is for members only. Lois will have everything finalized by next Monday.

Accounts Payable Treasurer- Art was not on hand but left a note that we should have approximately $10,000. by the end of the season.

Accounts Receivable Treasurer-Chi was unable to attend but had a hand out that shows we presently have 91 families on the waiting list. Again, this year we'll offer the August only membership.

Swim team representative-Dale wasn't available this evening but left word that it's not too late to sign up for swim team. First practice started June 12, 2002.

Site committee-Chris thanked everyone for helping with clean up day. Back wall still needs to be painted.

Old Business-A lsit of committees was past around.

New Business-nothing brought up.
